Fort Collins Climate Strike

March 26, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Join us on March 26th, 2022 at the Old Town Plaza in Downtown Fort Collins as we bring a broad coalition of people together to fight for a sustainable, just, and equitable future. Our demands are to Divest CSU from fossil fuels, to institute a ban on drilling in Larimer County, and to give Hughes Land back to its rightful heirs. This means a full divestment of CSU from all oil and gas partnerships within the university and its endowment fund, a ban on all future and pending oil and gas extraction permits in Larimer County, and a just transition of the former Hughes Stadium site back into the stewardship of the indigenous communities from which is was stolen.
We stand together with a broad coalition of groups and activists working in Fort Collins, including Fort Collins Food Not Bombs, Clothe The People, New Eyes Village, the Associated Students of CSU, Climate Reality NoCo, 350 Fort Collins, and many many more! We stand for climate justice, a broad movement towards developing local climate resilience and local food sovereignty, international solidarity with those facing the strongest effects of this crisis, and all those fighting to adequately address this existential crisis both on the frontlines and through institutional advocacy. Please amplify this and share widely, and we look forward to seeing you at the protest!
