Salon duc Tape – Water? Why Bother? – October 27th

Does xeriscaping mean cactus, gravel, and weeds?

As communities turn from sweeping lawns to sweeping fields of rock as the go-to landscape, be inspired to keep plants in your life!  At the salon on October 27th, CSU Horticulture and Natural Resources Extension Specialist John Murgel will teach us the particulars of growing a lush garden with little or no water.  Yes, really!

John studied ecology and evolutionary biology at CU-Boulder and horticulture at Colorado State University.  His career includes a decade in public gardens before joining CSU Extension in 2020; he is especially interested in harnessing ecological processes to make gardening easier and in avoiding fixing the irrigation system ever again.

Salon duc Tape, a public forum sponsored by the Northern Colorado Alliance for a Livable Future (NCALF), usually meets on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month from 7:00 — 9:00 p.m. This meeting will be held online via Zoom; you will need to register in advance hereAfter registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information – including a new link – about joining the salon.
