Salon duc Tape – Fire in our Watershed – March 26th, 2021
How might the Cameron Peak Fire affect our supply of water?
At the salon on Friday, March 26th, a panel of four experts will present and lead a discussion concerning the potential impacts of the Cameron Peak Fire on Northern Colorado’s water supply and water quality. This salon complements the salon held on March 12th addressing “Rights of Nature” and the Poudre River.
Our expert panel will be comprised of Stephanie Kampf, Donnie Dustin, Jen Kovecses, and Chuck Rhoades. Stephanie is a Professor of Watershed Science at Colorado State University. Donnie is the Water Resources Manager for the City of Fort Collins. Jen is the Executive Director of the Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed. Chuck is a Research Biogeochemist at the Rocky Mountain Research Station of the U.S. Forest Service.
Salon duc Tape, a public forum sponsored by the Northern Colorado Alliance for a Livable Future (NCALF), meets on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month from 7:00 — 9:00 p.m. This salon was developed in collaboration with Janice Lynne and Tom Hoehn of Transition Fort Collins. We have moved to an online format (Zoom) for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic. You will need to register in advance for the salon here. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information – including a new link – about joining the salon.
